Dura-Film® Flame Retardant White
On March 1, 2000, AT Films announced the introduction of a new line of greenhouse films featuring flame retardant properties. This film has been designed for spaces where the public is admitted such as retail garden centers and where building codes requires the use of flame retardant building materials.
Until now, no film used in this application has met the national fire code requirements. AT Films new Dura-Film Flame Retardant White greenhouse film offers retail garden centers a product that meets both national fire code requirements and cools the greenhouse by shading and diffusing sunlight.
Dura-Film Flame Retardant White has been tested by Bodycote Ortech Inc. laboratory and complies to:
- Canadian Approval: CAN/ULC-S109-M97 Small and Large Flame Tests
- USA Approval: NFPA 701-1989 Small and Large Scale Tests
- Bodycote Ortech Inc. Canadian Identification Number: 99-J52-93-78-679 (B2)
- Bodycote Ortech Inc. USA Identification Number: 99-J52-93-78-679 (B1)
Dura-Film Flame Retardant White is considered a custom product and will be manufactured during any scheduled run, subject to availability. Call Customer Service at 1-800-661-3606 for non-campaign run availability.
The following minimums apply for custom Dura-Film Flame Retardant White products:
- For widths of 20' or less, a minimum of 2,000 lbs per order, per width and per gauge is required
- For widths greater than 20', a minimum of 5,000 lbs per order, per width and per gauge is required
